Camp & COVID-19
We know that as we draw closer to camp, everyone is asking, “What will Youth Camp look like this summer?” This is a question that our team is working diligently to answer. Camp will look different. However, all of the things that make camp special will still be there.
Our purpose is still to provide our students with a life-changing week spent in Christ-centered community. We desire for your student to encounter Jesus as well as create memories that will last a lifetime. Our team is excited and expectant of what the Lord is going to do this summer at Youth Camp.
HERE ARE A FEW THINGS TO HELP YOU ANTICIPATE WHAT CAMP WILL LOOK LIKE:
At a minimum, we will be performing the following precautions before leaving for camp:
We will train our staff on necessary preventative health and safety protocols, as well as the plan for handling symptoms or exposure identified at camp.
We will conduct temperature checks upon arrival for registration.
We will require each student to complete a COVID-19 Questionnaire indicating whether or not they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
At a minimum, we will be performing the following precautions once we arrive at camp:
We will be enlisting licensed medical professionals to assist onsite with all health-related services and screenings.
We will provide necessary supplies for common/shared spaces including but not limited to hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, disinfectant cleaner, etc.
We will perform routine cleaning of the worship gathering room on a daily basis.
We will make adjustments to our schedule and programming in an effort to ensure a safe and healthy camp environment.
We will perform daily temperature checks on camp members, requiring anyone not feeling well to seek medical attention and be socially isolated, if becoming ill.
We will provide a rapid COVID-19 test to any student or leader who possesses COVID-19 symptoms(loss of taste/smell and a fever exceeding 100.4).
We will conduct contact tracing and additional cleaning if a student or leader tests positive for COVID-19 while at camp.
Liability Release Forms
All students and adults attending Camp MUST sign and submit a completed liability release form and the Camp Kulaqua release forms before they leave for camp. Both forms for adults and minors can be found here on our website.
