About Our Youth Ministry
STF YTH is more than a program– it’s a community! Every week middle schoolers and high schoolers get the opportunity to hear the gospel and grow in relationships. STF YTH exists to partner with families to help middle school and high school students find and follow Jesus. We do this by reaching students where they are, raising them to be mature followers of Jesus, and releasing them into the world to make an impact for the gospel’s sake.
We believe that Jesus didn’t just save us from our sin, but he also saved us for life in a new family. YTH Community Groups are a place where friends become family as they follow Jesus together. YTH Community Groups are separated by age and gender and meet weekly. Click the link below for a full list of groups.

STF YTH meets for a weekly worship gathering every Wednesday night at 7:30 at our Ballast Point Campus. These nights are created specifically with teenagers in mind. They are full of high-energy worship, fun games, and bible teaching that helps students apply Scripture to their lives. Every night is a party, so don’t come alone!

YTH Leadership Development
The YTH Leadership Team is made of middle school and high school students who exist to serve Jesus by serving their peers in the STF YTH Ministry. The STF YTH Staff is committed to developing those on the YTH Leadership Team to becoming a strong group of students who are able to teach God’s Word, plan YTH events/meetings, have input on YTH Ministry planning, lead certain aspects of the ministry, represent the church well in their daily lives, develop strong Christian character, learn leadership skills, and put into practice the overall heart of Christ through servant leadership. The YTH Leadership Development Team will launch in the Fall of 2021. For more information, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can my student attend STF YTH even if my family does not attend STF?
Yes! Everyone is welcome at STF Yth! One of our primary desires is to partner with families as they seek to help their teenagers find ands follow Jesus. As such, we encourage students to worship with their family and to attend youth group at their church if it is available. However, we understand that different circumstances do not allow this. Therefore, our ministry is specifically designed to be a welcoming environment for anyone!
Who is working with my teenager?
The leadership of STF Yth is made up of church staff members as well as adult volunteers from within the STF Church Family. All staff members and volunteers are required to complete a background check prior to their involvement with STF Yth. In addition to this, we train all of our leaders in various skills and competencies related to ministering to teenagers. You can find more information about the Youth Staff here.
How can parents get involved?
We love parents! Without parent and volunteer involvement, the ministry could not function, so we encourage parental involvement. In compliance with our church policies, all volunteers must complete background checks before becoming involved in a leadership role in the ministry. Please talk to the STF YTH Team about getting this or contact us at email@example.com.
We are always looking for volunteers who can come alongside us to help students find and follow Jesus. There are many ways that you can get involved at STF Yth based on your personal availability.
