Local Missions

We truly value our relationships with local missions and service organizations here in the heart of Tampa Bay. Many of these organizations rely upon volunteer efforts to flourish and succeed in their ministry efforts. Some, like First Priority Clubs and Mentoring require a consistent weekly commitment; others, like Amazing Love, offer the opportunity to serve whenever and as often as you can.

Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) – This ministry reaches out to students at our local college campuses throughout Tampa. Let’s join them in the effort to reach students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ! https://bcmlife.net/

Bless Every Home – This is the prayer ministry of STF. Sign up to receive daily updates about your neighbors and learn how you can effectively pray for them. https://blesseveryhome.com/

Created Tampa – Created is a local outreach and care ministry for local women and men involved in the prostitution and sex industry. They need our help to visit and share Christ with those individuals. http://www.createdwomen.com/

First Priority – Student-led groups meet weekly on middle and high school campuses. All First Priority groups/clubs are student-initiated and student-led. During each weekly meeting, student leaders open and close in prayer, guide others through that week’s topic and help new students get connected to a local church. https://firstprioritytampa.org/

Florida Baptist Convention – Be a part of what our state Baptist convention is doing, whether it is the “Adopt a School” initiative” or providing crucial disaster relief with Baptist Global Response teams. https://flbaptist.org/

New Life Solutions – This pro-life organization provides services to care for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of women throughout their pregnancies and through critical points in their lives. Our Ballast Point Campus hosts a Walk for Life sponsored by New Life Solutions each May. http://www.newlifesolutions.org/

PB&J Homeless Ministry – PB&J is an outreach to share God’s love with homeless individuals in downtown Tampa. Come and join us to distribute resources to our local homeless communities. PB&J meets every fourth Friday at our Davis Islands Campus. https://www.facebook.com/PBJMinistryTampa/

National/International Missions

We have ongoing partnerships with domestic and international missions organizations in Prichard, Alabama; the Dominican Republic, and Cuba. We send missions teams throughout the year, and have team members from age 8 to 78. If you feel called to go on a domestic or international short term mission, please email us by filling out the contact form below.

World Outreach

STF supports a long-standing partner, Pastor Ken Balootje, and his evangelism ministry in the Dominican Republic. Through trips that include preaching, teaching, medical and sports outreach, STF and other local churches provide resources and leverage to an effective Kingdom harvest effort.

Lottie Moon

As a Baptist missionary who served in China for almost 40 years in the late 1800s and early 1900s, Lottie Moon was an evangelist-teacher who established the foundation for strong missions support among American Baptists. Since 1888, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering has raised $1.5 billion for missions. The offering finances half of the entire Southern Baptist missions budget. Through the Lottie Moon offering, STF provides financial support for worldwide missions.

East West Ministries International

East West Ministries partners with other Christian organizations to address the evangelism explosion that is taking place in Cuba. STF participates in two trips annually and supports local pastors on the ground who are bringing the Good News to a spiritually hungry country that has long been closed.

Three Strand Cord

The vision of Three Strand Cord is to help create communities that treasure Jesus Christ, know security, and display the joy and peace that come with a life spent close to the Lord. Three Strand Cord equips communities by setting into motion seven spokes of independence, and partners with growing ministries and short-term missions teams.

International Cooperating Ministry

ICM has built more than 6,000 churches around the world through an outstanding stewardship model. All overhead and expenses of ICM are endowed, and 100% of giving goes to church construction, with locals providing full ownership and ICM providing oversight accountability. In most cases, ICM provides a 100% match to STF donations.

Alabama Youth Mission Trip

The Missions Team provides need-based scholarships to STF students who are experiencing missions in the trenches for the first time. This is a training ground. In addition to pouring into the lives of at-risk young people, many of our own students have life-changing experiences, and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Jeff and April Sukup are STF missionaries who have established collaborative relationships with Christian work and witness teams, leading Bible studies and encouraging local pastors in the African nation of Botswana. They were sent in 2010 and have been building sustainability support. STF, joining with other like-minded missions efforts, will leverage the work they have started.

The PET (Personal Energy Transportation) ministry manufactures hand-cranked wheelchairs built to withstand demanding terrains in many underdeveloped countries. The ministry seeks to restore dignity to individuals who are unable to walk. STF members provide the leadership for this ministry, and with collaboration from many groups, construct and distribute the wheelchairs in many countries.

Kelly Green Global

KGG’s mission teams minister through various venues, including open arenas, schools, refugee centers, military bases, baseball clinics, pastor conferences, women’s leadership training and conferences, medical and dental clinics, and much more. Kelly Green is a former STF missions pastor and is now a strategic partner of South Tampa Fellowship.

God is Grace

God is Grace is a ministry developed by Kelly Green Global that grew out of great concern for women in Third World countries who are caught up in a cycle of poverty. The ministry’s desire is to help the women break the cycle of poverty through their own hard work.
