Food for Thought

For the week of June 28, 2020

(Questions and Scriptures for further study & discussion)

Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything you heard for the first time or something that caught your attention, challenged or confused you?

What are some of your pleasures in life?

1. Read Psalms 16. For what blessings does the Psalmist praise God? (vv. 5-8)?  What exactly do you think he means by each?

2. Read vv 1-4. Pastor JJ said, “A path only becomes a pattern if you walk it.”  What “gods” are you tempted to pursue?  What sorrows do they bring?

3. The way we align our days and whom we align them with, show us what we “delight” in.  Read Romans 12:2.  Take time with your CG members to pray for a renewing of the mind as we walk with God, staying on the path of life.

“Call to Pray” We are encouraging the church to continue to lift up the Stage 1 Re-gathering in prayer with the Prayer Guide. https://stfchurch.com/stfprayer/
