Compassion Trip: Dominican Republic

Join us on our first Compassion International Trip to Santiago, Dominican Republic. During this trip, we can spend the day with your Compassion child and experience the impact of Compassion International on the Dominican communities. You must sponsor a child in the Dominican Republic to go on this trip.

This trip has a 25-person capacity because Compassion International wants to provide the highest-quality experience possible for you and your sponsored child.

Payment Deadlines

  • $100 due at registration

  • $900 due on August 18th (half payment)

  • $1000 due September 22nd (full payment)

Trip Meetings and Trainings

  • August 11
     12:30 pm – 2 pm Snack Lunch provided in YTH Room (3rd Floor)

  • September 1
    Meet at 5 pm for Meet and Greet and then stay for Team Building by working the Rice Packing Event as a team

  • September 15
     12:30 pm – 2 pm Snack Lunch provided in YTH Room

  • September 29
     6 pm – 8 pm Full Dinner Provided – Cuban Sandwiches, Rice & Beans, & Dessert

Trip Schedule

This is a tentative schedule, so please be flexible.

  • Thursday, October 3: Depart Tampa at 6:42 AM. Arrive in Miami at 7:50 AM. Depart Miami at 10:05 AM. Arrive in Santiago at 12:22 PM
  • Friday, October 4: Visit Compassion Center. Welcome and Tour. Home Visits/ A Day in the Life.
  • Saturday, October 5: Meet & Minister Day- Meet your Compassion Child.
  • Sunday, October 6: Attend Worship Service—lunch with Pastor and Church Leadership.
  • Monday, October 7: Travel back to the USA. Depart STI- Santiago @ 1:41 PM
