“The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.” — Psalm 145:8
“Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” — Matthew 9:13
The Lord has demonstrated and extended His mercy to you. His desire is for you to live a life that demonstrates mercy rather than sacrifice.
Prayer Prompt: Pray these verses aloud, and praise God that He is slow to anger and demonstrates His steadfast love by showering His grace and mercy upon you. Reflect on Matthew 9:13 and what it means. How might that be applied in your daily interactions with others?
Additional Scripture: Matthew 5:7, Luke 6:36, James 2:13
Journal: Take a few moments to reflect on and note what God is showing you through His Word about Himself and how it applies to you.
