“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.” — Hebrews 10:23
“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” — 1 Corinthians 10:13
The faithfulness of God displays His trustworthiness based on His unwavering commitment to His people through His promises and covenants that find their ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ. You can also see that God is faithful even when His people are not. It is because of God’s faithfulness, evident throughout Scripture and demonstrated supremely in the cross of Christ, that you can be restored to Him.
Prayer Prompt: Pray the verses above aloud. Reflect and stand firm in the confidence of your faithful Lord. Praise God and give thanks for His covenant faithfulness that will not be broken. Rest in His faithfulness, and allow His love, grace, and mercy to melt away any anxiety. Take comfort in His promise to keep, protect, comfort, and lead you.
Additional Scripture: Psalm 91:4-6, 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24, 2 Thessalonians 3:3, 2 Timothy 2:13
Journal: Take a few moments to reflect on and note what God is showing you through His Word about Himself and how it applies to you.
